Makeover Monday - Amy
This week the Monday Makeover is with my great friend Amy. You may have heard about her, she is the genius behind the camera for Sweet Pea Pictures. We met a few years ago through a play group and instantly clicked and have been friends ever since. She has been teaching photography through Appel Farm Arts & Music Center and needed some head shots done, which created the perfect opportunity for me to do this weeks makeover!
Since I knew we were going to be doing some close up shots I wanted her to have flawless skin. I used my Belletto Airbrush Machine. I used a combination of 2 shades - Brulee and Bisque. I also used a blush in shade Bare Blossom and finished the skin off with Luster Drops.
To enhance her beautiful blue eyes I decided to use some gray tones. First I defined her brows just a bit using Anastasia Hills Brow Whiz pencil in Soft Brown. Then I used MAC's Paint Pot in Soft Ochre to prime her eyes. Next I used Satin Taupe on her lids blending softly up into the crease. I defined the crease a bit with Brun and then used Vanilla on her brow bone for a soft highlight.
I wanted her to have a really soft look so instead of using a gel liner I lined her lash line with Corrupt from Makeup Greek (my favorite matte black shadow.) Amy has great thick lashes but I wanted to really enhance her eyes so gave her a few coats of mascara and added a few lashes to the outer corners of her eyes. I finished up the face with a light dusting of MAC's Mineralize Skin Finish in Soft and Gentle. Lastly I lined the lips with MAC Spice lip liner and used MAC's lipstick in Syrup.
