30 Days of Beauty ~ Favorite Palette...

It's hard to believe that Summer is almost over. We recently went on a mini vacation to Lake George New York for a fun weekend of camping. We had gorgeous weather and tons of fun activities but I'm glad to be back!

Onto Day 12. My favorite palettes....

I chose to stick to just eye palettes since that is what I am asked about most often. I also chose two different palettes. One that was custom made and one that you can purchase all put together.

The first palette is from Makeup Geek. I know, I know- I rave about MUG products all the time but they really fabulous. The individual pans of shadow retail for $5.99. I store my shadows in a Z Palette which you can also purchase from the Makeup Geek site. There are different sizes ~ the smallest that holds 9 shadows (retailing for $14.99) up to the largest which holds 35 shadows (retailing for $28.00.)

Here is a quick glance at my custom palette....

As you can see I have quite a range of colors. And I  plan on purchasing more! These shadows are extremely pigmented and blend like a dream! These shadows are comparable to MAC shadows - some are even a little better!!

The second palette is from SauceBox Cosmetics. I wrote about a few palettes that I purchased from them a few months back - a review about their classic trio set. You can read that here. Not long after I purchased another palette from them. The E'tude Palette. It's gorgeous! This palette has 8 shadows and all of them matte. It retails for $50.00 but the pans are almost twice the size of the MUG shadows.

As I get older I have started steering clear of shimmery shades....I find that matte shadows blend much easier on more mature skin. Using shimmery shades on mature skin tends to highlight any fine lines or wrinkles.  I also love that this company was founded by a Mother & Daughter team and their products are 100% cruelty free!!

Stay tuned for a separate blog post with swatches of each and every color. I chose not to include them on this one so that it wouldn't be too long.

Next up will be Day 13 - Skin Care!
