Luxory with a conscience....
Whenever I am in Sephora I make sure I utilize the fact that they will give you a sample of just about anything. The last time I was there I had something in mind that I wanted to try.
Josie Maran is a model who created a natural cosmetics line back in 2007, named Josie Maran Cosmetics. Beyond her cosmetic line she is very committed to protecting and improving nature and the environment. Hence the "luxury with a conscience" tag. One of the very popular items is her Argan Oil. I have been hearing about it for years and just never got around to trying it. Recently I have been seeing a few of my favorite You Tube gurus talk about it so I decided to get a sample.
WOW! This stuff is AMAZING! I had enough for about 3 day worth and I am hooked.
Here is some brief info from Sephora's website about the product:
Josie Maran's Argan Oil is a lightweight oil that can be used as a daily moisturizer or treatment for skin, hair, and nails.
What it does:
This 100% Pure Argan Oil is a legendary oil that's rich in vitamin E and essential fatty acids, and grown organically in Morocco. With its multitasking benefits, Argan Oil can be used for many areas including hydrating and nourishing skin, as a daily moisturizer, skin treatment, treating spilt ends, and softening cuticles. It's gentle enough to use on all skin types and is believed to help with skin conditions including acne. Argan Oil easily absorbs into skin to give you a youthful, dewy glow, and has astonishing healing, conditioning, and anti~aging properties to keep your skin and hair nourished and revitalized and to keep you looking beautiful from head to toe.
What it is formulated WITHOUT:
- Parabens
- Sulfates
- Synthetic Fragrances
- Synthetic Dyes
- Petrochemicals
- Phthalates
- GMOs
- Triclosan
What else you need to know:
100% Pure Argan Oil is first cold pressed to ensure the best quality, highest-grade oil. It is housed in a recyclable glass bottle and purchased from women's cooperatives in Morocco to support their social and economic welfare. These cooperatives work within a UNESCO biosphere reserve that ensures the protection and reforestation of Argan trees.
Research results:
This product is clinically proven to improve skin hydration and skin elasticity after only four weeks. In just four weeks: Participants saw a visible reduction in coarse wrinkles and fine lines in the eye area, and more than 83% of women showed significantly improved skin hydration.
This is an item that I definitely need to go back and get. But beware, it is a bit pricey. For a 1.7 oz. bottle it retails for $48, the 4 oz. bottle retails for $96 - yikes! I have to say from just using it for 3 days I might be convinced to splurge. My skin felt amazing, like silk. That was after just 3 day of use - I can't imagine what it might feel and look like after a couple weeks.
I did take a sneak peak on Amazon and it looks like you can get it just a bit cheaper, the 4 oz. bottle was running for about $89...not cheap but a bit better than $96. Are there any beauty items that you splurge on? Would love to hear about them!! Until next time my beauties!
